Acetic Acid CAS 64 19 7 Methods of production

1. Acetaldehyde oxidation method Acetaldehyde and manganese acetate are added to the oxidation tower from the bottom of the tower, and oxygen is passed into the tower in stages. The reaction temperature is controlled in the range of 70 ~ 75℃, the gas phase pressure at the top of the tower is maintained at 0.098MPa, and an appropriate amount of nitrogen is added to the top of the tower to prevent the explosion of the gas phase. The freezing point of the crude acetic acid generated by the reaction should be between 8.5 ~ 9.0℃, and the material should be discharged continuously into the refining section. The tail gas is cooled at low temperature, the condensate is reflux to the oxidation tower, and the gas is vented. Crude acetic acid continues to enter the concentrator, and the temperature on the top of the tower is controlled at 95 ~ 103℃. The dilute acetic acid condensed by the condenser is recovered in the dilute acid recovery tower, and the uncondensable gas is condensed into dilute acetaldehyde by the low-temperature condenser. The crude acetic acid with low boiling point was continuously added to the acetic acid evaporation pot, and the temperature on the top of the tower was maintained at about 120℃, and the distilled acetic acid was the finished product. Using rhodium's carbonyl compounds and iodide as catalysts, methanol and carbon monoxide react to produce acetic acid in water-acetic acid medium at about 175℃ and under 3.0MPa. The reaction products were successively delightened component column and dehydrated column, and the separated light component and aqueous acetic acid were returned to the reaction system. The crude product was then distilled and purified to produce acetic acid.
