Heptafluoropropane, obtained from hexafluoropropylene through hydrofluorination reaction, is a clean gas fire extinguishing agent mainly used for chemical fire extinguishing and also used for physical fire extinguishing. Since its ODP value is zero, it will not pose a threat to the atmospheric ozone layer. With the prohibition of halon, the demand for heptafluoropropane is gradually increasing. Because it is colorless, odorless, non-conductive, and does not pollute the protected object, it is often used to extinguish precision facilities and electrical fires.
